| This week we’ll witness the Israelites falling into sin and disobedience as they fail to do what God had commanded them to do. Read through Judges 1:21-2:5 and make a list of all the ways the Israelites disobeyed God. Instead of driving out the Canaanites, what did they do?
Chapter 2 introduces a character which is referred to as “the Angel of the Lord.” Who is this? Notice the authority in which this character speaks. Do you suppose this might be a theophany?
Verse 4 and 5 record the Israelites response to the angel’s message. Would you classify this as a response of repentance? |
